Scientific seminar entitled (Enhancing Women's Skills in Leadership and Management).

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Dr. Taha Ibrahim Shabib, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit organized a scientific seminar on "Enhancing Women's Skills in Leadership and Management". The workshop was held in Abi Al-Thanaa Al-Alusi Hall on Wednesday 10/16/2024. The seminar was attended by:

Prof. Dr. Saada Hamdi Suwaidan.

Prof. Dr. Suhair Nafeh Abdel Aziz.

Asst. M. Sabreen Ali Hussein.

The seminar aims to provide a comprehensive explanation of the most important fields of work and the obstacles that stand in the way of women assuming leadership positions, the most important of which were: discrimination against women in Arab cultures, time constraints and family responsibilities, the difficulty of developing social networks within work relationships, and increasing women's leadership capabilities in higher education through: a strategy of guidance and finding a role model at work, a strategy of training in leadership skills, enhancing empowerment, and building confidence.

The symposium came out with a set of recommendations, the most important of which are:

There is an important and effective role for working women in society through the roles they play, as women play two important roles: the role of a successful working woman with responsibilities, and the woman as a housewife, mother, wife, sister, etc.

She must have the ability to balance between work and home.

Allow her the opportunity to develop and innovate.

The workshop was attended by a number of professors and students, and after the event, the attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and make interventions that were answered by the lecturers.

In conclusion, everyone thanked the College of Education for Humanities for providing the opportunity to exchange ideas between professors and students, and stressed the need to communicate to hold future meetings and training courses.
